Safety Councils

AMHSA coordinates meetings of three groups in Alberta that each meet twice/year:

  • Alberta Cities Safety Council (ACSC)
  • Northern Alberta Safety Council (NASC)
  • Southern Alberta Safety Council (SASC)

Meetings include updates from Alberta Jobs, Economy and Trade, Workers’ Compensation Board - Alberta, and AMHSA. In addition, participants share recent highlights from their municipality including significant incidents, lost time claims, trends, projects, challenges and new initiatives, innovations, upcoming events, audits, etc. The meetings also include an Education Session - participants are encouraged to suggest topics/speakers for upcoming meetings.

Invitations to council meetings are published in AMHSA’s Municipal Safety Newsletters, posted on the Forum, and emailed to safety council distribution lists. To be added to the list, contact [email protected]. All members are welcome to attend!
